Bruce Willis, German-born American actor and producer, whose career began in the television industry during the 80’s, is temporarily retiring from show business due to his illness.

Through a message released on his official Instagram account Rumer Willis, one of the daughters of the renowned actor, shared her progenitor’s desire to put a pause to his career to attend to his health.
“For Bruce’s amazing fans, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which is affecting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him,” states the statement signed by both Rumer and his sisters, and the actor’s partners, Demi Moore and Emma Heming.
Bruce Willis will leave the world of show business despite the fact that during the last few years he had kept himself alive thanks to a series of action movies.

Willis was born in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany, in 1955, and being the son of Marlene, a German woman and American soldier, David Willis, over the years he chose the American Union as his destination to live and carve out a prolific film career.
As for his private life, he married actress Demi Moore, with whom he had three daughters before they divorced in 2000, after thirteen years of marriage. He later married model Emma Heming.
Due to his success among the public’s preferences, Willis, in addition to winning several awards, has managed to establish a fortune estimated in 180 million dollars.
