Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has issued a passionate rallying cry to Gunners fans ahead of their high-stakes Champions League semi-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, April 29, at the Emirates Stadium.
In a bid to recreate the electric energy that fueled Arsenal’s historic 3-0 triumph over Real Madrid, Arteta is calling on fans to turn up the volume and “play every ball” with the team.
“Bring your boots, your shinpads, your shorts, your T-shirts! And let’s play on Tuesday night all together here to have one of the most amazing nights at the Emirates,” he said.
The north London club, chasing a place in their first Champions League final since 2006, have been given a timely boost no weekend Premier League duties mean a full week to prepare for the French giants.
Arsenal’s route to the semi-final has been full of grit and brilliance, with their demolition of Madrid serving as a European statement. However, Arteta is under no illusions, knowing that Luis Enrique’s PSG, featuring stars like Kylian Mbappé, will present an entirely different challenge.
The first leg of this heavyweight showdown takes place at the Emirates on April 29, with the return fixture scheduled for May 7 at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
It’s all to play for and Arteta wants the entire red half of north London locked in and ready to roar.
