Billie Eilish was among those A-list celebrities missing from Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) ceremony but the pop star still managed to win one of the most prestigious awards.
Eilish, 20, was nominated for multiple awards, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for Happier Than Ever.
She won Song of the Year, beating out the likes of Adele, Doja Cat, Elton John & Dua Lipa, Lizzo, and The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber.
Harry Styles, meanwhile, took home the Album of the Year award for Harry’s House.
Eilish, who is currently on tour in Asia, was not the only A-list celebrity to skip the VMAs ceremony.

Styles, who had eight nominations, also missed out on the ceremony due to his Love On Tour show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Ariana Grande was nominated for Best Metaverse Performance but did not make the awards show. The award went to BLACKPINK.
Adele did not win any of her three nominations. The English singer was not seen at the ceremony.
Eilish and Styles were the only notable absentees to win an award, with the latter sending a prerecorded acceptance speech.
