Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba joined up with his national team ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Finland, but he picked up a thigh injury in training which will rule him out for two months.

RMC Sport released a video in which Pogba can be heard shouting in pain while touching his right thigh after attempting a strike, and it was later revealed by L’Equipe that the midfielder faces around eight weeks out of action.

Pogba is still to serve his last match of the three-game ban in Manchester United’s duels against Watford on November 20, but his latest injury could see him out until the new year.

More injuries
This is not the first time one of their players has suffered an injury while on international duty.

The same happened with both Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane in the October international break, with the latter missing out on three games.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw has been following concussion protocols after picking up a head injury in the Red Devils’ 2-0 loss to Manchester City on home soil and he has yet to join up with the rest of his England teammates.

For his part, Marcus Rashford withdrew from the England squad to recover from a bout of illness. The United winger recently returned to action after recoverin from a shoulder injury.
