Bad Bunny kisses male dancer as he makes VMAs history by winning this award

Reggaeton artist Bad Bunny made MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) history Sunday night by becoming the first non-English language act to win the Artist of the Year award.

Prior to getting presented with the award by NBA star Carmelo Anthony, the Purto Rico-native performed his hit song “Titi Me Pregunto.”

Bad Bunny, 28, performed at Yankees Stadium and was streamed live to the Prudential Center in New Jersey, where the VMAs took place.

After his performance, in which he kissed a male dancer right after kissing a woman, Bad Bunny gave his acceptance speech in Spanish.

“From the bottom of my heart, I have no words to describe what I feel,” Bad Bunny said. “The pride I feel to be here tonight at Yankees Stadium receiving this award.

“I knew from the beginning I could become one of the world’s biggest artists without having to change my culture, my speech, my language, my lingo. Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio from Purto Rico to the entire world. Thank you!”

Bad Bunny beats Drake and Harry Styles

Bad Bunny continues to prove he’s the world’s biggest superstar and he’s doing it in Spanish.

Not only did he become the first non-English language artist to accept the Artist of the Year award, but he beat out some amazing performers.

DrakeHarry StylesJack HarlowEd SheeranLizzo and Lil Nas X were all nominated for the coveted prize.

His performance was also iconic and the kiss with his male backup dancer will go down in history alongside Madonna kissing Christina Aguilera at the VMAs in 2003.

Bad Bunny has been openly supportive of the LGBTQ+ community for quite some time now and continues to prove it through his art.
