Atlanta-based rapper Young Scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey, has passed away at the age of 39 in a tragic accident while attempting to evade law enforcement.
According to reports, the incident occurred on March 28, 2025, in southeast Atlanta when police responded to reports of gunfire and a woman being forcibly taken into a residence. Upon arriving at the scene, officers encountered two men attempting to flee through the back of the house.
Young Scooter reportedly tried to escape by jumping over two fences but suffered a severe leg injury in the process. He was immediately rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have confirmed that his injury was self-inflicted and not the result of any police action.

Born in Walterboro, South Carolina, on March 28, 1986, Young Scooter moved to Atlanta at the age of nine, where he later built a career in music.
