Arsenal geared up for their vital Europa League quarter-final first leg against CSKA Moscow by taking part in a hilarious sprint race in training on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger’s squad will look to move one step closer to winning the secondary European competition on Thursday night when they welcome their Russian opponents to the Emirates Stadium.
The squad appeared to be in good spirits 24 hours before the game and looked fiercely competitive as they squared off in the friendly challenge.
In a video posted on Arsenal’s Facebook account, the Gunners were initially split into two teams.Tension built throughout the race between the purple and green teams with multiple accusations of foul play thrown around.
It was the green team though, which included Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang among others, that ultimately claimed victory.
The result sparked wild celebrations between the players while defender Hector Bellerin shared a hilarious Instagram post of him sprinting with the caption: ‘When you see that bus about to leave’.
Once victory had been guaranteed the Spaniard added a more celebratory picture alongside the message: ‘Then you make it in time’.
