Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has delivered a blunt message to Endrick, urging the Brazilian wonderkid to cut out the theatrical stuff and focus on improving his game. Despite his glowing reputation before joining Madrid, the 18-year-old has found his debut season in La Liga a tough learning curve.
Endrick has only played 213 minutes in the league this season, with his first start against Getafe offering a mixed performance. Though he had chances, he struggled to convert, including a moment where he tried to dink the goalkeeper instead of opting for a more powerful shot.
Ancelotti addressed the youngster’s performance after the match, saying:
“Endrick had two good chances. For the first, I think he couldn’t have done much better. The second might have been offside, but he has to learn from that. Young players need to strike the ball properly, not this theatrical stuff. Theatre in football doesn’t exist.”
With just one goal in La Liga so far, the teenager still has much to prove. There are rumors that Real Madrid might consider loaning him out in the 2025-26 season, as Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo remain ahead of him in the pecking order.
