Alvaro Morata has taken to Twitter to apologise for his actions after he vented his frustrations after being substituted during Chelsea’s win over Burnley.
The Spain striker reacted furiously to being replaced after failing to beat Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope when clean through on goal.
Manager Antonio Conte downplayed the situation but Morata tweeted: ‘Three important points for us. The best way to get ready for Sunday’s game was winning. I want to apologise for my reaction when I was sent to the bench, when I fail I get really angry with myself.’
