Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, the Indian actor, has been arrested in a drug-related case.
According to The Hindu, the young Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday at around 2pm after being interrogated over a Mumbai cruise party that the agency had raided on Saturday night.
The drug law enforcement agency had earlier detained Khan and seven others for interrogation.
Khan was booked in connection with the party where 13 gm cocaine, 21 gm charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy), 5 gm MD, and ₹1.33 lakh (about N736,000) in cash were recovered.
The NCB said it had raided the cruise based on a tip that a rave party was going to be held there and that some film industry personalities might be present.
The agency also said it had information that drugs would be used at the party.
Although the agency had initially said no charges were being pressed, Khan was later detained alongside Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, and Arbaaz Merchant.
While Khan has reportedly denied purchasing drugs, he has been taken to court with Merchant and Dhamecha.
An India-based Nigerian actor was recently arrested after he was nabbed selling drugs.
