Popular media personality Beauty Goddess has issued a heartfelt apology to Priscilla Ojo Mkambala after her previous comment about missing the latter’s wedding sparked outrage online.
Beauty Goddess, who was notably absent at the glamorous ceremony, had earlier shared a video explaining her absence. In it, she claimed she couldn’t attend due to a prior booking and casually referred to the event as “JP Whatever” a remark that many fans and followers interpreted as dismissive and disrespectful.
The comment quickly ignited backlash, with critics slamming her for being insensitive and downplaying what was a significant moment in Priscilla’s life.
In response, Beauty Goddess took to her Instagram page to clear the air and apologize:
“I’ve seen some of the reactions to the live I did, and honestly, I understand why people are upset. It came off like I was being dismissive about Priscilla’s wedding, and I hate that it even looked like that.
Priscilla, if you see this, I’m really really sorry. I love and respect you so much, and God knows how excited I’ve been for your big day.
The way I said what I said was messy, and I own that. I wasn’t thinking about how it would sound, and I definitely didn’t mean it in a shady or unserious way.
The last thing I’d ever want is to make your day feel less than perfect, especially over something like this. I have no bad intentions at all and I’m deeply sorry to Mr and Mrs Mkambala.”

The apology has begun to soften reactions online, with some fans praising her for taking accountability, while others still feel the comment should never have been made in the first place.
One thing is clear: weddings are sacred, and in the age of social media, even offhand remarks can cause serious ripples.
