In an interview with Forbes Africa, the Water and Garri hitmaker singer said she does not think she has the gift to sign upcoming musicians.

The 45-year-old singer also disclosed that it is a stressful task and she might not be able to control their actions.

She however added that she would rather build a music school where upcoming singers could learn and later on be signed by labels.

Everyone always says to me, ‘when are you going to sign an artiste?’ I don’t think I have the gift to sign another artiste, because artistes are stressful. I could just be sleeping, and then I will wake up and my artist is trending for something else,” Tiwa said.

But I do have the gift to help, which is why I am trying to do the music school, where you can go and later sign to a label that can actually help you.

Savage rose to prominence after releasing her breakout single ‘Kele Kele Love’ in 2010.

She has since established herself as one of the most prominent names in the Nigerian music landscape. She has also won numerous global awards.

The songstress released ‘Water and Garri’ in August 2021 while her debut film of the same name premiered on Prime Video on May 10.
