This comes after a heated altercation with the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Developmentofficials, which led to the Nigerian Police Force declaring him wanted on February 18, 2025.

The police accused Portable and nine of his associates of obstructing and assaulting government officials in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu, Ota, Ogun State, on February 5, 2025. According to the police statement, the singer allegedly led armed thugs to attack officials from the ministry while they were carrying out their duties.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Magistrate’s Court in Ogun State, and his wanted poster was shared across social media, listing offences including:

  • Conspiracy
  • Serious assault
  • Going armed
  • Conduct likely to cause a breach of peace
  • Attempted murder

Portable’s One-Week Hideout and Arrest

While his associates were swiftly arrested, arraigned, and granted ₦5 million bail each, Portable reportedly went into hiding for a week. During this period, he remained active on social media, pleading for support from fans and influential figures.

However, after growing pressure from his supporters advising him to face the law, the singer surrendered on February 19, 2025, and was arraigned the next day at Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Portable pleaded not guilty to all charges, leading to the court granting him ₦2 million bail.

With his newfound freedom, the singer now claims he is ready to avoid trouble, but only time will tell if Portable can truly stay away from controversy.
