Mr. Macaroni, the Nigerian comedian, is not married to Kemi Ikuseedun, his colleague who is better known as Mummy Wa, TheCable Lifestyle has learnt.
During the weekend, the skit maker had sparked a wave of bewilderment on social media after he announced his “engagement” to Mummy Wa.
To further escalate the confusion he triggered on Saturday, the skit maker shared what he claimed to be their wedding photos on Sunday.
Adebayo Ridwan, another skit maker fondly called Isbae U — who is believed to be Mummy Wa’s boyfriend — had also stirred the unending pot of controversy when he registered his shock at the news of the engagement.
This had left fans in a labyrinth of confusion as to whether Macaroni and Mummy Wa actually got married or if it was a skit.
But speaking with TheCable Lifestyle on Monday, an insider in the thespian’s team said the two skit makers didn’t get married as widely assumed.
The source also said the wedding pictures were for a promotional campaign and not a skit.
The development comes a month after the thespian said thoughts of marriage usually scare him.
On March 24, the skit maker had said he has no plan of getting married soon.
He also said he has not been in a romantic relationship since 2012 when he was at the Houdegbe North American University in Benin Republic (HNAUB).
Mr Macaroni has been in the news on several occasions over his activism and critical comments on happenings in the country’s socio-political landscape.
The entertainer has also snagged several recognition and awards for his works.
