The Puerto Rican producer, 38, was traveling with his seven-year partner, Debbie Von Marie Jimenez Garcia, and their 4-year-old son Jayden Hernandez, plus four other passengers, all relatives of La Movie, and two crew members.

The other passengers, U.S. nationals, have been identified as Kellyan Hernández Peña, 21, and two teenagers aged 18 and 13, as well as Verónica Estrella, 26.

The crew members were Luis Alberto Eljuri Tancredo, 47, and Emilio Herrera, 32, both Dominican residents.

The plane was en route to Orlando, Florida, when it went down while attempting to land just after takeoff from El Higüero airport, the aircraft’s operating company, Helidosa Aviation Group, reported on Twitter.

“Helidosa Aviation Group informs and regrets the tragic accident occurred this Wednesday by one of its aircraft… in which all crew members and passengers tragically died,” said a statement from this airline company.

José Ángel Hernández, Flow La Movie’s real name, produced musical hits such as “Te boté” with Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam and Ozuna. The song topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for 14 weeks after its release in 2018.

Flow signed several artists of his own, including Nio Garcia, Casper Magico, D.OZi and Xound under his own record label, in addition to producing songs for Latin artists such as Manuel Turizo, Don Omar, Natti Natasha, J Balvin, Myke Towers, Anuel AA.

Reggaeton artists honor Flow La Movie

After Flow La Movie’s death was confirmed, many artists who worked with the producer posted emotional messages on social networks, paying respect to the Puerto Rican and his family.

“Someday I’ll be able to see you face to face and give you a hug, and even if I tell you two or three… tell you them laughing and wholeheartedly, shaking your hand and leaving behind any differences,” wrote singer Arcángel on Instagram.

“My God, strength to the family and loved ones. What a difficult and sad situation. The genre is in mourning. How fragile this life is,” Maluma wrote on his Instagram account.

J Balvin also paid tribute to his partner and friend Flow La Movie, posting a photo and video showing the cute friendship they had.
