Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has received Hajiya Hafsat Khadi Ibrahim Ruwandorowa, founder of the Gamjin Gusau Mobilization Forum and an active supporter of Dauda Lawal, one of the G8 group members the state, and her over 5,000 members as they joined the governor’s camp in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
We have decided to join forces with Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to find lasting solutions to the lingering security challenges ravaging the state instead of following people very blindly,” she said.
Responding, Matawalle said his government is particularly in dire need of the support of youths in the state who form the backbone in the drive to transform Zamfara into an enviable position.
He vowed to stand by his oath of office to carry everyone along in meeting the yearnings of the people of the state irrespective of their political party leanings towards a greater Zamfara.
While using the event to urge politicians in the state to play politics without bitterness, the governor noted that he has continued to establish a political level playing ground for the peace, stability, and growth of the state so as to ensure a better future for the youth.
He commended the leadership of the forum, Ruwandorowa, and her members for taking the bold step towards the unity of the APC and assured that they will be fully involved in all the party’s activities and as members with equal opportunities.
The Matawallen Maradun said his administration will continue to support women and involve women in decision making in addition to appointing them to various political positions.
Earlier, Ruwandorowa said she has led over 5,550 members across the 14 Local Government Areas of the state to declare their unflinching support to Governor Matawalle and his administration in the state.
She renamed her forum from Gamjin Gusau Mobilization Forum to Hafsat Khadi Foundation in support of Matawalle, promising that her members will work consistently to return Matawalle to exalted state’s seat in 2023.
According to her, she has concluded her arrangements to organize a one-million women rally in support of Matawalle in Gusau, the state capital.
The occasion which took place at the Government House, Gusau, the state capital was attended by the Speaker Zamfara state House of Assembly Alhaji Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, Chief of Staff Government House Malam Suleiman Ibrahim.
Others include State Head of service, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Gayari, Commissioners of finance and special Duties Alhaji Sufiyanu Bashir Yuguda and Alhaji Abdul Aziz Ahmed Nahuche and other senior Government officials.
