Nigerian music icon 2Face Idibia has been appointed Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach by Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State. The appointment was announced during 2Face’s recent visit to the Government House in Makurdi.
Governor Alia praised the singer’s continued support for his administration and even acknowledged 2Face’s public endorsement of his re-election bid for 2027. He emphasized the artist’s influence and experience in the entertainment industry, stating:
“Once you say ‘2Face,’ people start dancing, even without you singing. You have the capacity to help us impact more lives positively.”
As a native of Okpokwu LGA in Benue South, 2Face’s appointment marks a deepening of his commitment to his roots, both politically and culturally.
In a symbolic extension of that commitment, 2Face introduced his fiancée, Hon. Natasha Osawaru, to the Idoma traditional council and his local community earlier this week. The introduction took place on April 21, 2025, during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo.
Clad in regal Idoma traditional attire, 2Face presented the Edo-born legislator to Och’Idoma V and other community leaders. After the ceremony, the couple visited Okpokwu, where they met with elders and received blessings for their upcoming union.
It’s been a week of big moves and deeper ties for the legendary artist both in governance and in love.
